Entrepreneurial Students Society (ESS) conducted its annual General Assembly last July 1, 2016 at 10:30 in the morning till 4:30 in the afternoon. The program was held in Ninoy Aquino Library and Learning Resource Center – Bulwagang Balagtas, PUP Mabini Campus with the theme “The Practical Passion: An Invasion to ENTREPportunities!” The event was hosted by Ms. Benina De Castro Mayores and Mr. Micole Balabat.
The ESS adviser, Prof. Jerome P. Dumalo formally started the program by delivering inspirational words to the BS Entrepreneurship students. The Dean of College of Business Administration, Dr. Raquel G. Ramos and the Chairperson of the Department of Entrepreneurship, Prof. Zenaida D. San Agustin, both did not miss to support the organization’s event. The faculty members, Prof. Cresilda M. Bragas, Prof. Leo Alcaraz, Prof. Linda V. Favila, Prof. Ma. Elena M. Mano are present as well.
The program had 3 parts; the Past, the Present, and the Future. The first part of the program which is the Past was an interactive interview with the two great Alumni of the BS Entrepreneurial Management. They were Mr. Crisanto Flores III, the founder and CEO of Wear His Word and Mr. Dexter Darjuan Manalo, the owner of Big Boss Prints. The second part which is called the Present, focused on orientation of the ESS Members on the 2016 revised Constitution and By Laws of the organization and the Oath Taking of the new ESS Executive Board Members. The last part of the program-- the Future, was also an interactive interview with the two guest speakers who also happened to be great entrepreneurs today. They were Mr. Arnold Sabado, a Master in BS Entrepreneurial Management and owner of different businesses, and Mr. Venchito Tampon, a graduate of Polytechnic University of Philippines-Mabini Campus and a 21-year old CEO of his own company. Intermission numbers and ice breaker games are also in the program which was facilitated by the emcees.
The event formally closed by Prof. Jerome P. Dumlao by leaving the students a lesson from which they could cherish until the end of time—it is a reminder that everyone could fail, but not everyone has the courage to continue toward success.
