Recap: The Game Plan Was Revealed!
Last August 2, 2017 , Entrepreneurship community was welcomed with a vibrant, ecstatic, and overflowing energy in Bulwagang Balagtas. Everything was put together because of the effort of everyone who helped to make this event possible. The venue was filled with people that have the same passion and goals in life, and it felt great to be in a community that you truly belong.
One of the first things that you’ll notice inside is the stage design, it was created by our organization’s artist Ms. Faye Danao with the help of her block mates, Entrep 3-1. It was thoroughly thought of, with all of the classic game references like Super Mario, Tetris, and Pacman which did fit this year’s theme. Other than the stage design, the whole venue surely made you feel excited for our event, mainly because of the upbeat songs that are played in the background by our technical team and the movement of the colorful lights. Ushers were also roaming around, assisting everyone with all of their needs. On the other hand, our photographers and videographers, also made sure that they are able to document every moment yesterday by flashing their gears, and approaching everyone for their pictures and videos.
The program started with a video presentation from Creative Committee that explains our general assembly’s theme: The Game Plan. To officially start the event, Prof. Leo Alcaraz gave a talk to welcome everybody in this occasion. After that, Mr. Renz Rigour Aldous Rosales led the opening prayer and Doxology. Then, the singing of the National Anthem was led by Ms. Roxane Sacramento. Along with Prof. Alcaraz, some of the Faculty members were also able to come, like Prof. Melissa Rey and Pastor James Pacheco to show their support in our organization.
After a game, the speaker was introduced and the game plan was revealed! He is Mr. Kim Camacho from CKT Dynamic Leaders Training and he started with an interesting way of getting the audience’ attention, he made them dance and sing, and do it numerous times. But basically, he talked about how ‘Great things happen to those who…’ not wait, but do GREAT. His talk is one of the highlights in this event, and he inspired the Entrepreneurship Community to SMILE and be God’s Amazing Gift to Others.
Talents were also showcased by our Co-Entreps. Mr. Allen Aquino shared his wonderful piece, while a group of girls from Entrep 3-1 entertained the audience by dancing to a remix of modern songs. After that, our sponsors’ representatives were also able to introduce their companies. We are grateful for their help in making yesterday’s event happen.
Another highlight from this year’s General Assembly is the Oath Taking of our new set of Officers and Committees. The Oath Taking of the officers were led by Prof. Jerome P. Dumlao while the committees’ were led by our President, Ms. Bea Angela Guevarra. The program ended with a talk from our ESS’ adviser, Sir Jay, and he talked about how opportunities knock only once, then surprised the students by raising a P500 bill which brought a chaos to the crowd. Our, President Ms. Bea Guevarra also gave a short message to the students. Our organization is getting bigger and we promise to bring more unforgettable events!
Again, none of this would have happened if it wasn’t for you guys, good job everyone, especially to those people who helped us to make this a success, so hooray for this year’s GA! It was totally a blast!
